Summer Camp of Yongjing County in Gansu Province Organized by IDP Launched

On the morning of July 16, the opening ceremony of the summer vacation camp in Yongjing County, Gansu Province, which was organized by our school, was held in the center of China Seismological Network. 32 primary school students from Yongjing county participated in the camp. Sun Xiong, secretary of the Party Committee of the Network Center, Sun Weimin, deputy inspector of the Party Committee of the China Seismological Bureau and chairman of the Trade Union, Chen Guang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of IDP, and Xu Xin, deputy director of the Personnel and Education Department of the China Seismological Bureau and deputy county chief of Yongjing County, attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Sun Xiong delivered a welcome speech. He hoped that the students will study hard and become talents as soon as possible so as to devote themselves to the cause of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and disaster prevention and reduction. Sun Weimin said that the Party group of the China Seismological Bureau has resolutely implemented the instructions of the Party Central Committee on poverty alleviation, and has being taken various measures to help Yongjing county at designated points for many years. Summer camp, as an intellectual support measure, enables students to understand and feel the beautiful capital culture and style, understand the development process of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction in China, broaden their horizons, sow the seeds of hope, stimulate students' learning enthusiasm, and make greater contributions to the national construction and the transformation of hometown appearance in the future.

The students visited the B3 Hall of the Network Center. Song Zhiping, a researcher from the Ministry of Earthquake Prediction, gave a lecture on "Earthquakes and Geological Disasters" to explain to the students what earthquakes are and how to monitor and prevent earthquakes in China. The personnel of the Network Center made a wonderful display of the main functions of the information resource area, the network monitoring area, the quick warning area and the public service area, and interacted with the students.
