Delegation Led by Qi Furong Visiting Jiangsu Province and Cooperation Agreement between IDP and Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology Signed

From Dec. 4 to Dec. 5, 2018, Qi Furong, Secretary of the Party Committee, led a team to Nanjing University of Information Engineering and Jiangsu Seismological Bureau for investigation and study. Liu Chunping, vice president of IDP, Chen Guang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission, Li Jun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, and responsible comrades of the Office, Academic Affairs Office, Personnel Department and Scientific Research Department participated in the survey.

The collective study and investigation is a specific measure to thoroughly implement the "Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Earthquake Talents" issued by the Party Group of China Seismological Bureau and the important instruction spirit of director Zheng Guoguang. During the investigation, Guan Zhaoyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University of Information Technology, welcomed the leaders of IDP. President Li Beiqun introduced the basic situation of Nanxin University, saying that both schools have distinct industry characteristics, strong complementation, high degree of coordination and broad prospects for cooperation in hopes that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in the construction of teaching staff, discipline construction, personnel training, scientific and technological innovation, and work together to serve the major national strategy. In his speech, Qi Furong said that the development history and school running philosophy of Nanxin University have important enlightening significance for IDP. The strategic cooperation shows the common responsibility and aspiration of both sides to serve the national disaster prevention, mitigation and relief cause, which will help both sides jointly cope with the global problem of natural disaster prevention and control. It is hoped that by learning from the school running experience of Nanxin University, we can enhance the school running strength, and take the signing of the agreement as an opportunity to promote practical cooperation between the two sides, constantly expand the space for cooperation, and jointly contribute to the national disaster prevention, mitigation and relief and emergency management.

Vice president Liu Chunping and Dai Yuewei, vice president of Nanxin University, signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides. The two sides exchanged views on the specific implementation of the cooperation plan. After the meeting, Qi Furong and his party visited the school history museum, atmospheric exploration base, visual teaching center, weather station, etc.

During the investigation of Jiangsu Seismological Bureau, Qi Furong and his party received a warm reception from Liu Yaoxing, Secretary of the Party Group and Director General, and heard the introduction of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction work of Jiangsu Seismological Bureau. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on business training, training base construction, industry services and other aspects, and reached a preliminary cooperation consensus. Qi Furong and his party also visited the Nanjing Seismological Science Museum and the Digital Seismological Network Center, visited alumni working in the Seismological Bureau of Jiangsu Province. The alumni expressed their deep feelings for their alma mater and expressed that they must make greater achievements in their respective posts and win honor for their alma mater. They also put forward opinions and suggestions on talent cultivation, scientific research and social service. Qi Furong said that alumni are the most valuable resources and wealth of his alma mater and an important force to promote the development of IDP. He hopes that alumni will always care and support the construction and development of IDP. IDP will also pay more attention to alumni work, constantly innovate work ideas, build more platforms, deepen cooperation with alumni, and realize win-win sharing between alma mater and alumni.
