Professor Chi Baoming Attending 2019 National Seminar on Groundwater Science and Engineering

On July 12, 2019, the 2019 National Seminar on Groundwater Science and Engineering sponsored by the Geological Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education was held in Guilin University of Technology. More than 20 experts and scholars from 13 universities all over the country attended the seminar.

Prof. Chi Baoming was invited to attend the meeting and made a report entitled "Construction of Groundwater Science and Engineering Specialty". The report was divided into four parts: facing challenges, causes of difficulties, countermeasures, and comparison between vertical dimension of professional history and horizontal dimension of specialty. He analyzed the current situation and development trend of groundwater science and engineering specialty, identified the bottleneck problems restricting the development of specialty, and put forward countermeasures with strong pertinence and feasibility.

The report pointed out the direction and path for the construction of groundwater science and engineering specialty and aroused strong repercussions from experts and scholars attending the meeting.
