Leaders from Emergency Rescue Promotion Center of Emergency Management Department Visiting IDP

On the afternoon of June 20, 2019, Gao Yucheng, deputy director of Emergency Rescue Promotion Center of Emergency Management Department, Zhang Jinlong, executive director of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Branch of China Association of Work Safety, and other four people came to IDP for investigation. President Yao Yunsheng and Vice President Ren Yunsheng attended the reception. Jiang Jiyi, director of Discipline and Graduate Department, Cai Xiaoguang, director of Scientific Research Department, and Tang Yandong, director of the School of Emergency Management, attended the meeting.

Yao Yunsheng extended a warm welcome to Gao Yucheng and his team and introduced IDP’s discipline construction, specialties, personnel training, especially the school's characteristics and expertise in earthquake prevention, disaster reduction and disaster relief. It’s hoped that the two sides could establish a long-term cooperation mechanism and realize complementary advantages based on mutual trust. Ren Yunsheng hoped that the School of Emergency Management could improve the emergency management discipline and specialty through cooperation with the Emergency Promotion Center of Emergency Management Department.

Gao Yucheng introduced the current responsibilities of the Emergency Rescue Promotion Center of the Emergency Management Department, and proposed the cooperation intention with the School of Emergency Management in emergency rescue skills training, training curriculum development, textbook compilation and scientific research projects.

The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on education and training, curriculum opening and industry-university research cooperation, laying the foundation for further cooperation.
