Delegation led by Li Beiqun, President of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Visiting IDP

On the morning of January 9, 2018, Li Beiqun, president of Nanjing Information Engineering University, and a delegation of four people visited IDP. Qi Furong, secretary of the Party Committee of IDP, and Yao Yunsheng, president of IDP, warmly received President Li Beiqun and his party. Liu Chunping, vice president of IDP, Li Jun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and heads of the relevant department attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Yao Yunsheng.

At the meeting, Li Beiqun introduced the development of Nanjing University of Information Technology. He pointed out that Nanjing University of Information Engineering has developed from a distinctive industry university to the present. The two sides have similar development paths, strong complementarity of disciplines and broad space for cooperation. He hopes that both sides can sign cooperation agreements in teaching and scientific research, discipline construction, teacher training, student activities, cultural construction, and carry out all-round cooperation to promote common development and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Qi Furong pointed out that the visit and exchange activity is to implement the important directive spirit of the symposium of Zheng Guoguang, director of China Seismological Bureau, and Guan Zhaoyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University of Information Technology. He also introduced the basic situation of IDP from four aspects: historical evolution and mission, basic situation of construction and development, main tasks and achievements, development strategy and main measures.

Yao Yunsheng highly agreed with President Li beiqun's cooperation proposal. He pointed out that the advanced education concept and school running experience of Nanjing University of Information Technology have a strong guiding significance for the construction and development of IDP. He hoped that both sides would carry out practical cooperation and exchange in the aspects of faculty construction, discipline construction and scientific research, and asked relevant departments of IDP to further strengthen research and discussion to enter into the process of bilateral cooperation.

At the meeting, the two sides also had in-depth exchanges and discussions on school running mode, personnel training, and cooperation in scientific research projects.

After the meeting, Li Beiqun and his party visited the disaster simulation laboratory, engineering practice training center and earthquake simulation laboratory.
