Xuelian Meng, Tenured Associate Professor of Louisiana State University Shelley, Giving Academic Report at IDP

On June 27, Prof. Xuelian Meng, a tenured associate professor of Louisiana State University Shelley, USA, gave an academic report entitled "Collaborate 3D Reconstruction and Features Information Extraction Based on Lidar And UAV" for teachers and students of Surveying and Mapping Engineering in classroom 301, Changgeng building. The report mainly shew Mr. Meng's recent years in many fields, such as surface point filtering algorithm, morphological building detection, object-oriented residential area extraction, lidar tree parameter extraction algorithm, archaeology, beach sediment erosion, highway pavement disaster detection and so on. She shared her research methods and experience, and answered the questions about LIDAR point cloud filtering algorithm, deformation monitoring, deep learning algorithm and other aspects of surveying and mapping, which was welcomed and praised by the teachers and students attending the meeting.
